Bureau singe

Yesterday, Cas and I got in a car and started our two-day journey west. Right now, we're in Grapevine at the Gaylord Texan hotel and resort. Feel free to be impressed. The stay was a gift from his mother, and the room is very nice.

The keys to the door of the room came in a little pocket with a sheet outlining some of the benefits guests enjoy, and one of those was wifi. Cas wanted to go and ask how that worked, so we set out to find the concierge. We agreed concierge was a term too fancy for everyday use, so I offered "desk monkey" as a replacement. He pulled out his phone and translated desk monkey into French. Bureau singe. Love it. 

We walked around the holiday decor with its Texas theme for the better part of the evening we're off to see the Ice exhibit and go skidding down a snow slide. Until then, here's a photo from our stroll:
