Turning Japanese

Yesterday, Cas and I woke up in Fort Worth and got ourselves to their Botanical Garden.  I had a Groupon to the Japanese Gardens, which is a beautiful portion of the actual park.  There was a little chill in the air, but Cas and I managed to have a good time.  The temperature just kept us from overstaying our welcome.

Here's Cas walking on water:
I had long suspected he may be able to do that...

We had a fantastic time in Fort Worth, and we headed back to Dallas straight from the garden.  We stopped by my parents' house to pick up my dad and head out for beers.  Dad was happy to oblige, and I was glad to keep my standing Sunday date.  After that, Cas and I went to have Greek food, then headed back to the house.

I went back to school today for what should be a four day week, as this Friday is the snow make-up day that we don't need.  I decided to take Thursday off, as well, so Cas and I could have an extra day of spring break together.  He has this week, which is kind of stinky, since mine was last week, but there's only so much complaining you can do when you're a pair of adults who get a full week off of work in the springtime.  You can't exactly cry about how it isn't the exactly correct week.  Not a lot of sympathy from non-teachers out there...

So, since I have well over a hundred sick days, I am taking Thursday.  Seems like a pretty good idea.
