All sales final

Wednesday was college T shirt day, but I wore my very favorite red blouse. I had to- it's pretty much my lucky shirt. (I also forgot about college shirt day)

The red blouse is lucky, though. I wore it on my first date with Cas, and that seems to have worked out pretty well. I look good in red, and that particular shirt walks the line between casual and dressy pretty well. It goes with slacks or jeans or whatever. It's lucky.

I had my meeting with Mr. Friedman on Wednesday. No more suspense- I got the distinguished teacher recognition rating. I'm in the Proficient II category. That means I get my first actual raise in years. They've done some piddly cost of living adjustments, but nothing truly substantive.

That was the news I was after. My goal was Proficient II. I met my goal. Hooray.

Thursday morning, I stopped by the house on Modella for the last time. It was a pretty great feeling. Here's my last selfie there:
Walking away. Makes sense. Alejandro met up with me at the title company at a quarter 'til 5 yesterday, and I signed my old house away. I have no further claim on it. I only live in one place, now, and I only have my name attached to one mortgage. Thank God. Now, all I have to do is go and have a Friday at work. I've been trying to remain low-key about the rating and subsequent raise in pay, since not everyone who applied for the advanced rating received it- but I'm pretty happy.

After work, the three-day celebration of Cas' birthday kicks off. I got us tickets to the Pocket Sandwich Theater show tonight. Let's do this.
